The winner of the Michael Hill receives NZ$40,000, a recording contract with the Atoll label, an intensive performance tour across New Zealand and Australia, a personalised professional development programme, a Spirit Bay pendant designed by Lady, Christine Hill and a tour outfit by either Kiri Nathan or Working Style.

BH365 CURRICULUM UNIT GUIDE — www.BlackHistoryMatters.org

UNIT 1: ANCIENT AFRICA
This foundational unit engages students in the rich history of African tribes, customs, traditions, languages, and cultures – many instrumental in forming several modern processes and conventions practiced within Black American cultures and subcultures.

UNIT 2: THE TRANSATLANTIC SLAVE TRADE
Filled with details of The Transatlantic Slave Trade, this unit explores the conditions that influenced the trading of natural resources, weapons, and African descendants, eventually leading to arguably the largest human trafficking period in recorded history.

UNIT 3: THE FORMING OF THE AMERICAN SYSTEM
The American System unit discusses the beginnings of American systematic oppression, racial and economic disparity and discrimination, and dominant-culture supremacy through the enslavement and persecution of Blacks in the United States.

UNIT 4: EMANCIPATION & RECONSTRUCTION
The Civil War along with the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation marked the turbulent end of legalized slavery in the United States. This unit analyzes the critical events leading to The Emancipation of slaves, the conflict of Confederate and Union states, and the profoundly agitated period of Reconstruction.

UNIT 5: BLACK LIBERATION & EXPRESSION
Suffused with photographic descriptives of American evolvement, Unit 5 investigates Black Liberation & Expression through the development of Black-serving institutions, Black-inspired art (including the Harlem Renaissance period), and the long-ranging modulation of Black voices.

UNIT 6: CIVIL RIGHTS & AMERICAN UNREST
This unit provides an unfiltered look into the Civil Rights era that prompted severe American unrest as the end of organized bigotry, inequitable treatment (egregiously normalized attitudes and behaviors against Black Americans), became eminent, especially documenting the lingering effects of Jim Crow, the assassination of Black leaders, and legalized genocide.

UNIT 7: ECONOMIC & POLITICAL ASPIRATION
The passing of certain federal and state legislation seemed to insinuate Black liberation, advancement and inclusion were plausible ideas. The unit Economic & Political Aspiration details the accomplishments and challenges of Black Americans during period-defining movements, including Black Pride and the War on Drugs.

UNIT 8: MASS INCARCERATION & SYSTEMATIC OPPRESSION
Stricter regulations and strategically passed bills greatly influenced America’s rising prison population, increasing it more than 500%) beginning in the 1970s. This unit describes how Mass Incarceration became America’s not-so-subtle way of continuing (systematic) economic and societal oppression.

UNIT 9: BLACK CULTURE, INFLUENCE & WEALTH
This unit provides a comprehensive examination of the overall contributions of Black culture with regard to American popular culture – the influence of Black and African peoples and customs in America – and the economic, political and societal effects of Black influence, consumerism, wealth and wealth disparity relating to art, entertainment, sports, and fashion, particularly in the age of Hip-Hop.

UNIT 10: SOCIAL ACTIVISM & MEDIA EXPOSURE
The ability to access and share information through various media have provided visuals showcasing continued inequities in America’s most trusted systems: law enforcement and education. This unit explores the rise of social and political pressure deriving from a saturation of media exposure through audio and video technology, provoking indiscriminate forms of advocacy, activism and trauma.

Chart-Topping iTunes Artist Releases Two New Remixes

Clayton Morgan releases two remixes of his chart-topping hit on December 14th

Two-time Canadian iTunes Electronic chart-topper Clayton Morgan has released two remixes for his latest single, "The Beat Is Calling Me."

Morgan appears to be on his way to soaring to new heights”

— Markus Druery, Neufutur Magazine

DALLAS , TX, UNITED STATES, December 14, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — "The Beat Is Calling Me', successfully fuses a Duke Dumont, eighties house vibe with off kilter melodies reminiscent of Milky Chance." – Maddie McLeod, Skope Magazine

"Morgan appears to be on his way to soaring to new heights" – Markus Druery, Neufutur Magazine

Dallas, TX-based singer-songwriter and EDM artist, Clayton Morgan enjoyed his first chart-topping single in September 2018 when his remix track, "Taste For Love (Extreme's Deep House Mix)" raced to the top of the iTunes Canada Electronic chart. The track eclipsed those from Thom Yorke, Major Lazer, and FatBoy Slim.

That success was followed by another chart-topping release in November. "The Beat is Calling Me" was released on November 12th, and like it's predecessor, the track hit #1 on the same chart.

Now, Morgan is releasing two remixes of the self-penned hit. On December 14th, 2018, "Duce Remix" by Michael E. Williams II at Platinum Keyz Recordings and "Extreme's Deep N Soulful Remix" by Marvin 'Dj Extreme' Hairston, will be released. Hairston was responsible for the chart-topping "Taste For Love" remix. The new mixes will be available via CMD Entertainment/Enotram Entertainment.

Watch "The Beat Is Calling Me" lyric video at https://youtu.be/PfxjUpKn8r4.

ABOUT CLAYTON MORGAN: Based in Dallas, TX, Clayton Morgan released his critically acclaimed single, "Taste For Love" back in June. The son of Four Sonics member, Eddie Daniels, Morgan has proven to be one of the most original and talented new artists to come out of the area, this year. Music played a big role in Clayton Morgan's upbringing, both at home and at school. Clayton was regularly part of school musicals, choir groups and drama clubs. Outside of school, he always looked up to his father as his mentor and was also heavily influenced by a wide range of singers, including Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Prince, Madonna and Whitney Houston, to name a few. All of these ingredients combined, have no doubt, been the main contributing factor toward Clayton's unique and authentic vocal style.

Clayton Morgan was an Emerging Artist in the November 10th issue of Billboard Magazine. He is also a Radio Music Awards Nominee and an Indie Music Hall of Fame Award Winner.

LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, December 10, 2018 /EINPresswire.com/ — CSS Music has expanded its “You Pick ‘em Plan” by adding an additional pricing tier that allows music licensees to select and download 5 tunes from anywhere on the firm’s website, www.cssmusic.com. The cost of this new tier is $65. Downloads can be taken at any time and do not expire as with some subscription plans.

CSSMusic.com visitors can use any of 4 search systems including the latest in fingerprint music identification technology “Exact-a-Track” that allows searching by comparing sound recording waveforms. This is similar in some respects to Google’s Content ID music recognition system.

Other search tools available are curated “Hot Genre” Playlists and Single and Multiple Keyword searching by style and genre. Once suitable selections have been identified, users can use the CSS Music free Playlist Utility to organize their music by project, scene, genre, etc. Playlists can be e-mailed to clients or associates. Downloads can be executed in 5 popular file formats.

CSS Music Managing Director, Mike Fuller, says “our new ‘You Pick ‘em Plan’ tier at $65 for 5 tracks costs about the same as one track from competitive libraries. As I like to say, ‘No Jive, You Get Five’. 5 tracks from any where on our site. And perhaps equally important, the CSS Standard License provides one of the biggest bundles of rights of any royalty free music library. Dare to Compare music libraries for Quality, Selection and Service”.

There are 4 other pricing tiers in the CSS “You Pick ‘em Plan” 10, 50, 100 and 500 downloads. Also available is a Rollover Download Subscription Plan. Tunes also can be downloaded on a single track basis or end users can take advantage of an earned discount plan that automatically kicks in. Entire Albums can also be downloaded in 3 file formats including master quality non-compressed .aif format as well as Apple Lossless and mp3 320.
