Joe Louis Walker’s career has spanned nearly six decades – and 24 studio albums – since first picking up the guitar at his childhood home in San Francisco at the young age of eight. Joining the local musicians’ union in his early teens enabled young Joe to perform publicly with the likes of John Lee Hooker, Buddy Miles, Thelonious Monk, Willie Dixon, Nick Lowe, John Mayall, Muddy Waters and even Jimi Hendrix. By the late 1980s and into the 1990s, Walker had already collaborated with and performed with multi-Grammy Award winning artists such as B.B. King (on King’s Blues Summit album) and James Cotton (on Cotton’s Deep In The Blues album) as well as enjoying the rare honor to perform at the Presidential Inauguration of President George H. Bush. In 2013, Walker was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame, later being nominated in four categories for a Blues Music Award. In 2015, his album Everybody Wants A Piece was nominated for a Grammy Award in the “Best Contemporary Blues Album” category.

Viva Las Vegas Live is available on global digital platforms along with the home entertainment version that will be packaged in a gorgeous, four-panel, 2 Disc Digipack containing a DVD and audio CD of the concert. The all-region DVD’s bonus features include an exclusive interview with Walker that was filmed backstage at the venue plus a rare, behind the scenes slideshow of Joe and his band as they prepare to storm through ten, smoking tracks in front of their adoring live audience. A stand-alone, limited-edition colored 12” Vinyl LP version of the concert will be released separately this summer on the Cleopatra Blues Label imprint.

Kate Magdalena Releases Soaring Battle Hymn For Independence Day

Kate Magdalena Offers a Soaring Battle Hymn for July 4

A Hallelujah To Heal and Unite this July 4th

.The hymn sings “Glory Hallelujah” in the midst of our nation’s great conflicts.”

— Kate Magdalena

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, UNITED STATES, June 28, 2019 / — San Francisco-based singer/songwriter and recording artist Kate Magdalena releases a soaring new take on the traditional Civil War ballad, the “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” The hymn sings “Glory Hallelujah” in the midst of our nation’s great conflicts, such as were witnessed during the Civil War, and again today as our country struggles to unite under a common vision of what it means to be American. The lyrics were written in 1861 by Julia Ward Howe to fit the tune of “John Brown’s Body.” Since that time, the song has evoked and expressed sentiments of real patriotism, as well as religious fervor. Kate took a liking to the song when she first heard it powerfully sung by Judy Garland to honor President Kennedy as the nation grieved his death. She hopes now to rekindle it as an inspiration for America today, as the nation prepares to celebrate the July 4th holiday.

“Battle Hymn of the Republic” is the third track from Kate’s upcoming album “A Larger Dance” which is set to release in September 2019. To date she has released “Take Me to Church,” by Irish singer Sinead O’Connor on country radio stations across the United States, as well as “Be the Lark,” an original. In July she will release “The Streets of Any Town,” a song dedicated to the plight of the nation’s homeless men and women. These songs have been recorded and produced by GRAMMY-nominated-producer Billy Smiley (Johnny Cash, Whiteheart, Clay Aiken, and the Newsboys). “Battle Hymn” features some of Nashville’s finest musicians with Fred Eltringham (The Wallflowers and Sheryl Crow), Byron House (Robert Plant and the Band of Joy), Blair Masters (Garth Brooks) and Brennan Smiley (The Technicolors).

Hear “Battle Hymn”:
Hear Kate Magdalena on Spotify:

For Kate, singing is a way to bring what is inside, outside. It is to make the invisible audible. "It can change minds and soften hearts. I believe that music is part of every cell of the human body; and that we can use music to reach others in ways words cannot." Kate has an ability to move her listeners with her voice, to bring pleasure and joy. Her songwriting began through her poetry writing, and by setting a few poems to music by great poets like W.B. Yeats and Robert Frost, and then in discovering a love of writing which came from her own heart. She has always been a singer, but it is only now that she is putting her music first professionally, after a career as a teacher and chaplain.

Kate was raised in an era in which people looked to the arts and music to inspire social activism. Like Dylan's great songs, Kate's music addresses some of the pressing issues of our own day. She hopes that in pursuing her own dream later in life, that she might inspire others to follow their dreams.

Jamie Cullum leads world’s first 5G music lesson for music-making charity

Jamie Cullum led the world’s 1st 5G music lesson from his piano in London, playing live with musicians in Bristol & Birmingham via 5G technology.

LONDON, ENGLAND, June 28, 2019 / — Critically acclaimed musician and songwriter Jamie Cullum, led the world’s first 5G music lesson from his piano at the two thousand year-old Roman Amphitheatre in London, playing live with amateur musicians in Bristol and Birmingham using 5G technology from EE, King’s College London, Smart Internet Lab at the University of Bristol and Digital Catapult.

The event, brought to you by the charity Music for All, demonstrates how technology can remove barriers to learning. The advent of 5G technology will ultimately deliver super low-latency (i.e. low delay) connectivity everywhere, enabling an Internet of Skills where skills can be shared with others wherever they may live, work and play.
Here, we are bringing together music teachers and aspiring musicians. Research shows that making music: helps people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to keep smarter, younger, healthier and more sociable.

An ambassador of the charity Music for All, Cullum taught musicians across the three different venues in a unique multi-site lesson, connecting the three cities across the UK, as if the musicians were playing in the same room. The locations included City of London Corporation’s Amphitheatre, Birmingham City University – Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and We The Curious in Bristol.

Musicians were connected from London to Birmingham and Bristol via 5G networks from King’s College London and EE.
Commenting on this project, Jamie Cullum, said: “I’m delighted to be part of this ground-breaking event. I believe that the future of music can evolve hugely by adopting the latest technologies, like 5G. Having the privilege to perform with others via the power of 5G can open up new opportunities for artists, enabling them to practise and perform together remotely and communicate at a level that we never thought possible.”

Julian Lloyd Webber, principal of Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, said: "As a world leading institution providing diverse music education opportunities to a broad range of students in a state of the art building, we are absolutely delighted to partner in this global first. Access to exceptional music-making sits at the very heart of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and our significant investment in technology and venues – including the Eastside Jazz Club – ensures a vibrant and memorable experience for all. We look forward to further exploring the possibilities of 5G in music education following the success of this fantastic artistic endeavour."

David Marshall, chairman of Music for All, said: “At Music for All we believe that by spreading the benefits of making music, we can change people’s lives for the better. The amateur musicians in Jamie’s 5G band really reflect our ethos as any musician from any background could apply for a place. The increasing availability of 5G technology will open up new ways for us to help more people in more places.”

The amateur musicians in Jamie’s 5G band were selected from an open call for applications by Jamie. The band included singer Lexi Milligan, guitarist and singer Jeremy Levif, singer and saxophonist Rosie Patton, singer and keyboard player Taylor Paisley-French, drummer Jakob Terry and bassist Alyson Knott. The band played one track from Jamie’s recently released album – Taller – and one classic track to an audience of two thousand cross the three locations and via a 5G-powered live stream.

The event was hosted by the City of London Corporation at The Roman Amphitheatre and led by Music for All, supported by King’s College London, Birmingham City University – Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, EE, Yamaha, the City of London Corporation, the Smart Internet Lab at the University of Bristol, We The Curious, and Digital Catapult.

British Children's Band 'Kids United' Launch Petition To Stop French Copy Cat Musical Act From Using Their Band Name

British Children's Musical Group 'Kids United' Launch Petition To Stop French Copy Cat Children's Band From Using Their Band Name 'Kids United.'

LONDON, MIDDLESEX, UNITED KINGDOM, June 28, 2019 / — British children's musical group 'Kids United' have launched a petition to stop Warner Music France and the Warner Music Group from promoting their copy cat musical group under the same name and passing them off as the original British 'Kids United' musical group. The petition can be signed by going to the website and by clicking on the petition link located at the top of the main menu.

The "Kids United" musical group were first made famous when BBC Radio 4 produced a news special, which was aired to millions of its listeners to help promote their songs, "I'll Be There" (singing with Michael), which featured vocals by Michael Jackson and The Jackson 5. The news special also featured the Kids United "World's Children's Day Anthem Song," which was used for an awareness campaign to promote "World Children's Day," which takes place every 20th of November. During the interview, the "Kids United" musical group also spoke about the business side of running their music label, Bangin' Records, and the selling of their music and merchandise through the website. They also spoke about their involvement with the animal charity, the "Born Free Foundation."

"Kids United" were not only a musical act who ran a record label, but also pioneers, by becoming the world's first musical act to sell their music entirely through downloads via their website. Further to all this, "Kids United" were passionate campaigners, who headed a campaign to establish a National Children's Day in the United Kingdom. They did this by recording the Kids United "World Children's Day Anthem Song" which drew attention to this cause due to its upbeat message of unity and hope within the lyrics of their song. Thanks to them, "National Children's Day" now exists every 12th May.

"How Many Marilyn Monroes Do You Want" Movie May Re-Juvenate Hollywood, Predicts Stan Zipperman

In all my over 50 years working in the Hollywood Entertainment Industry in marketing and publicity I have never witnessed a more spectacular marketing campaign than this Marilyn Monroe Movie Project.”

— Stan Zipperman

I woke up in the middle of the night with the whole Marilyn Monroe Movie Project already worked out for me. No more sleeping now. My mind was going a million miles an hour it seemed. WOW again. I was wide awake with ideas about the production and could not wait to start writing this press release.

In my 50 years plus of working in the Hollywood Entertainment Industry in marketing and publicity and loving it, I have never eye witnessed a more spectacular marketing campaign. This is a true Hollywood marketing dream that only gets stronger as it gains momentum. I'll show you why right here.

First, a little background on the famed subject of this whole project — Miss Hollywood herself Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn made over 20 films in her rather short motion picture career. She made "Some Like It Hot" with Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, "The Misfits" with Clark Gable and Montgomery Clift, "The Seven Year Itch" with Tom Ewell, "There's No Business Like Show Business" with Jane Russell, "How to Marry a Millionaire" with Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall and "The Prince and the Showgirl" with Sir Lawrence Oliver.

The last time something this big happened in Hollywood goes back some 80 years when there was a world-wide search for the actress to play Scarlet O'Hara in "Gone With the Wind." Vivien Leigh succeeded, "Gone With the
Wind" succeeded and most of all — Hollywood succeeded.

At some point, the whole Marilyn Monroe Movie Project will become self-perpetuating. Look at how Donald Trump manages to fill every day with something new and unexpected. The same thing applies here. If every eligible actress decides to audition, think about all the history-making events that could suddenly be happening.

If white, black, yellow or even green actresses decide to audition, imagine what Beyonce or Rihanna would lend to their style of auditions. What if Lady Gaga decided to wear a black wig. What if Margot Robbie wore ice skates. Or what if Ru Paul decided to give it a try. You get the picture.

After the auditions, I envision four to six actresses picked to play roles that they choose to re-create from Marilyn Monroe films. All the actresses will appear in their personal treatment of Marilyn's famously infamous "Happy Birthday, Mr President" at the Madison Square Garden for JFK. Now I ask who would not want to see that?

Last night I woke up with more ideas. Take a look: A Marilyn Monroe public holiday here in America but anywhere in the world. Marilyn Monroe special times at public sporting events. Marilyn Monroe parades anywhere in the world. International Marilyn Monroe Film Festivals. New videos from Marilyn Monroe fans on Youtube. Art exhibits with Marilyn Monroe art by artists specializing in creating Marilyn Monroe art work.

A whole new Marilyn Monroe Renaissance may be approaching Hollywood with "How Many Marilyn Monroes Do You Want" Movie I can hardly wait…

From now on I will only be conducting correspondence through:
I am starting to put together my production team here in Hawaii.

Thank you for reading.

North Pole Press Releases Three New Titles by Author Joe Moore!

Joe Moore releases three new books in 2019.

Award-winning, multi-genre author, Joe Moore

Joe Moore called "the most versatile writer of this or any other time," will have three new books released in 2019. All of which are in different genres.

All books are available through The North Pole Press and Ingram Content Group.”

— Joe Moore

MARYVILLE, TN, USA, June 27, 2019 / — Award-winning writer Joe Moore deftly moves from children's books to suspense thrillers to Christian family reads to young adult, Moore can spin magical stories for the kiddies one moment, while keeping you up all night with his thrilling new chapters inspired by Hitchcock's "The Birds" the next.

Moore's first new book for 2019 is Revenge of the Birds. This newly released sequel picks up at the end of “Return of the Birds” and begins a race against time to prevent the disease from becoming a world-wide pandemic. In addition to the attacks of the birds, there is a problem with the vaccine previously administered in “Return.” The antivirus needs further work before they can treat the birds or help the people needing treatment and prevent a global catastrophe. Many of the characters from "Return" come back in "Revenge" and are joined by new heroes. This book will have you turning the pages faster than you can read them.

Moore's second book, also being released this month, is in an entirely new genre for Moore. The Christmas Eve Journey is available on June 30, 2019. This book retells the event of "A Visit from St. Nicholas," also known as "The Night Before Christmas" from Santa's point-of-view. This offering complements and enhances the original while providing a modern, up-to-date version for today's family. Written by Moore and illustrated by his wife, Mary Moore, Santa explains to a perplexed father about how and why he does what he does on Christmas Eve.

Told in similar rhyme and cadence to "The Night Before Christmas," this poem and its illustrations will bring an entirely new tradition to your home at Christmastime. “The Christmas Eve Journey” teaches the meaning behind the blessed holiday to today's children.

Moore's third new release comes available in August 2019 and is his seventh installment in the popular Santa's Elf Series. Also illustrated by his wife, Mary Moore, this book features Carol Joynote, Chief Music Coordinator for the North Pole. As with the other books in the series, there is a message from Santa Claus, himself, This message will be on diversity and treating everyone as you wish to be treated.
Moore is already hard at work on a new series featuring a time-traveling elf from his popular Santa Claus Trilogy for next year. The elf has to save the North Pole and its residents many times and does so by moving back and forth through time to acquire needed inventions and protections, with perilous danger to himself and others as he ripples the time continuum. He must do this while preventing disruption in the time fabric or significantly changing world events. The first of the series is due out in 2020.

The North Pole Press publishes all Moore's books.

Nita continues on the road this summer with Alice Cooper with Halestorm and Motionless In White supporting respectively. Kore returns to NYC to start production on new music videos in support of the bands 2018 release “Vengeance Overdrive” (Cleopatra Records).

Kore's next road appearances include the Blueridge Rock Festival and a supporting slot with Lizzy Borden on Halloween at the famous Whisky A GoGo in Hollywood, CA. More fall dates to be announced shortly.

The Debut Record “Vengeance Overdrive” is a concept record dressed in a fantasy/horror setting that showcases Kore as “The Bastard Child of NYC”. A notorious underdog artist who becomes blacklisted from the NYC music scene only to return mysteriously to silence the doubters and take his place at the top of the music food chain. Inspired by John Carpenter, Alice Cooper and Disturbed, this eclectic record comes at the perfect time with the recent resurgence of theatrical rock/metal hitting the states (Ghost, Avatar, In This Moment). For fans of hard rock/metal and horror movies!

“Vengeance” was produced by the talented production team Westfall studios in NYC. Rozzik has previously worked with the likes of Virus (Dope), Paul Bento (Carnivore) and has made on stage appearances with Bobaflex and Steel Panther.
