Legendary DJ, producer and hip-hop pioneer Eric B is entering an exciting new chapter with his electronic/EDM single, “I Just Came By to Party,” a high-energy release that is already gaining traction at radio, on streaming platforms and across electronic music playlists.

Best known as one-half of the groundbreaking duo Eric B. & Rakim, Eric B has spent decades helping shape the sound and culture of hip-hop. Now, he is expanding his musical footprint into electronic music, bringing the instincts of a world-renowned DJ and producer to a new generation of listeners. “I Just Came By to Party” is produced by Eric B and Freddie Foxxx “aka” Bumpy Knuckles.

The move is already producing results.

During the August 30–September 5 reporting period, “I Just Came By to Party” climbed 22 positions, from No. 172 to No. 150 on the Digital Radio Tracker (DRT) Global Top 200 Airplay Chart. The single also made an impressive five-position jump on the DRT Global Top 100 Independent Airplay Chart, moving from No. 12 to No. 7.

Digital radio performance continues to build as well. The single generated 2,341 spins across 29 reporting stations, representing a 2.9% increase over the previous week, with an estimated audience exceeding 9 million listeners.

STREAMING MOMENTUM BEGINS TO BUILD

The record is also beginning to gain traction on Spotify as playlist placements expand. Recent additions include Electro Workout 2026; Drum and Bass – DNB 2026 – DNB Remixes 2026 – Drum N Bass; JBL Bass Test 2026; and Electronica 2010–2026.

During the most recent seven-day period, Spotify activity showed dramatic early growth, with listeners increasing 7,450% and streams increasing 5,566.7%. While the campaign began from a small streaming base, the increases demonstrate that new playlist placements are beginning to introduce the single to a broader electronic-music audience.

The momentum extends to the digital sales marketplace, where “I Just Came by to Party” reached No. 7 among Electronic songs on the iTunes Store, placing Eric B alongside established electronic artists in the category.
