Pure BPM Releases Clip Builder 2.0, Adding Prompt-Based Audio-Reactive Animation for Music Visuals

Update to the music platform's visual tool generates editable animations that responds to audio, formatted for Spotify Canvas and vertical social video

Artists release more music than ever, and every track now needs visuals. The options have tended to be expensive video production or generic AI clips that look like everyone else's. ”

MELBOURNE, VIC, AUSTRALIA, October 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- Pure BPM, an AI music platform for electronic music producers, DJs and artists, has released Clip Builder 2.0, an update to its browser-based visual tool. The release adds prompt-based animation that is driven by the audio of a creator's own track and remains editable after it is generated.

The update arrives as short-form vertical video has become a standard part of releasing music. Streaming and social platforms such as Spotify Canvas, Instagram Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts favour looping, portrait-format visuals, and independent artists are often expected to supply them for every release. Most AI video tools in this space return a finished clip from a text prompt, with limited ability to adjust the result afterwards.

Clip Builder 2.0 takes a different technical approach. Instead of rendering a fixed video, the tool converts a text description into an animation program that runs as a layer on the Clip Builder canvas. The animation reads the track's audio as it plays, so its motion follows the beat, the bass and changes in energy, and the same animation behaves differently on different songs. Each animation exposes adjustable settings, including colour, size, on-screen text and the strength of its response to the audio, and can be combined with shaders, images, text and effects on the same canvas.

The release includes a set of visual styles with distinct aesthetics, among them Tech HUD, Street Art, Cosmic Comix, Gouache, Laser Temple, Psychedelic, Screenprint and Illustration. The styles range from comic-book and spray-paint looks to painted, graphic and sci-fi interface designs.

All clips are produced on a 1080 x 1920 vertical canvas and loop seamlessly, matching the format used by Spotify Canvas and short-form social video. Clips are created and exported in the web browser, without separate editing software.

"Artists release more music than ever, and every track now needs visuals. The options have tended to be expensive video production or generic AI clips that look like everyone else's," said Tim Meyer, CEO at Pure BPM. "With Clip Builder 2.0, creators get animations that move with their music and that they can keep shaping until they are right. We see it as a creative tool rather than a slot machine."

Clip Builder 2.0 is available now at www.purebpm.com. Animations are generated using COINZ, the platform's in-app credits.
